Our team is an independent initiative in the field of prosthetics and orthotics.
On our platform, we have gathered everything related to limb prosthetics: from practical information for people with limb loss to a list of service providers and free courses for specialists.
We work tirelessly to promote the sustainable development of the prosthetics and orthotics industry in Ukraine through education, support for specialists, and participation in the development of state standards and regulatory requirements.
We have created Ukraine's first online educational platform in Ukrainian on prosthetics and rehabilitation. Baza Znan: Protez Hub contains 12 training courses on limb prosthetics, rehabilitation, multidisciplinary approach and inclusion.
In 2023, the Protez Hub team initiated the development of the “Prosthetist-Orthotist” national professional standard in accordance with ISPO guidelines. In December 2023, the profession was officially included in the National Classifier and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine Classifier. To date, 34 Ukrainian specialists have been accredited under the new professional standard.
In 2024, Ukraine adopted a master's degree national educational standard in prosthetics and orthotics that fully complies with international norms. The Protez Hub team initiated and worked on its development in collaboration with international experts, analyzing specialist training systems in ten countries. Based on this standard, four medical universities in Ukraine have launched a master's of prosthetics and orthotics in 2024.
